Featured in this lot is this Tombstone, Cochise County, Arizona Territory - Mining Deed circa 1881 (Signed by Wells Spicer); Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. This is an original and official notation of the passing of ownership of a mine in Cochise County from Thomas Ogden to W.W. Williams. Williams is a notable citizen of Cochise County well know for his involvement in the mining boom and significant infrastructure that Tombstone is well known for. This document is unique and rare as the witness signature at the bottom of the second page is signed by Wells Spicer the famous attorney from Tombstone and also a part of the Judiciary for the troubles of the O.K. Corral shooting. The condition of this Cochise County, City of Tombstone Mining Deed is well preserved with some browning to the pages consistent with the age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition.
