1881-CC S$1 MS65 PCGS. The 1881-CC dollar, despite its 296,000-piece mintage, is relatively abundant in Mint State today due to the dispersal of former Treasury holdings. In this regard, David Bowers (2006) contends that: "About 63% to 86% of the original mintage survives in Mint State, perhaps as high as 88% in all grades." The frosty motifs of this Gem stand out against the backdrop of partially prooflike fields, are impressively struck throughout. An occasional wisp of incipient gold color is visible under magnification. A few minute obverse marks preclude an even higher grade.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
