<B>1881-CC $1 MS67 NGC.</B></I> Essentially brilliant with a thick layer of ebullient mint frost covering both sides, this is a beautiful ice-white Superb Gem. The design features are sharply struck, and surface disturbances are absolutely minimal. According to noted expert Wayne Miller: "On the whole, the 1881-CC is probably the highest quality Morgan dollar struck at the Carson City mint. This is due to the low mintage, which allowed more time per coin for production, and to the fact that the Carson City mint struck fewer coins per die pair than any of the mints." In fact, a mere 296,000 pieces were produced. NGC has certified only three pieces finer (12/07).<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> George T.
