<B>1881/0 $5 MS64 NGC.</B></I> FS-301, formerly FS-005. The fourth edition of <I>The Cherrypickers Guide, </B></I>volume II, notes that this variety is actually an 1881/1880 overdate and that, from the appearance of the repunching, each date was part of a four-digit logo punch. The 1 and second 8 are boldly repunched, the first 8 less so, and the curves of the 0 are apparent, rising upward from each side of the last 1. This is a lustrous piece with peach-gold, distraction-free surfaces and a sharp strike. There are none graded finer at either service.
