Cody "Buffalo Bill" below his image. This classic Buffalo Bill image, with light overall use with a trivial bottom left corner nick. Photograph taken by Brisbois of State St., Chicago. During the American Civil War, Bill Cody served in the 7th Kansas Cavalry Regiment. Later, Cody was Chief of Scouts for the Third Cavalry during the Indian Wars. He got his nickname “Buffalo Bill” for supplying Kansas Pacific Railroad workers with bison meat. Cody claimed to have worked many jobs, but he became world famous for his famous traveling Wild West show. The image has sharp focus and strong contrast.
