1880 Winfield Scott Campaign Medal in White Metal. Listed in Sullivan-Dewitt as WS 1852-6, this token was often muled into various reverses but this example has the intended "original" reverse. The nude bust is encircled with a wreath and the text: "Major Gen: Win: Scott." "Old Fuss and Feathers" would go to lose the 1852 election to Franklin Pierce, however, he still remained active in politics and the military, up to the point of advising Lincoln on tactics to use against the South the in Civil War.
