Half Dollars 1880 About Uncirculated 50. <b>Lavender and sea green toned. This date is one of the popular low mintage emissions which began in 1879 and continued until 1890. The mints were fully occupied striking silver dollars from the huge quantity of silver then being mined in the west, and had little time to strike half dollars for circulation.
