<B>1880-S S$1 MS68 <img border='0' src='http://www.heritagecoins.com/images/star.gif' width=10 height=10> NGC.</B></I> The 1880-S is one of the most common of all Morgan dollars, with the Bowers <I>Encyclopedia</B></I> projecting nearly two million Mint State survivors. At the MS68 grade level, however, no one would argue that this San Francisco Mint issue is easy to locate; and with the Star designation there are only 25 pieces so graded, with none finer (3/07). Fully struck, with dark semi-reflective fields and opulently frosted devices, this stunning example presents a delightful cameo appearance on each side.
