<B>1880-S $20 MS61 NGC.</B></I> The 1880-S double eagle comes with a mintage of 836,000 pieces, and according to Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth (2006), "Nearly all of the survivors are well circulated. The issue is somewhat scarce in Mint State, excessively so in choice condition." Soft luster exudes from the apricot-gold and mint-green surfaces of this MS61 specimen, and its design elements are crisply defined.
