<B>1880-S $1 MS68 NGC.</B></I> The surfaces are almost impossibly bright, essentially brilliant, and highly frosted on this Superb Gem. Few coins of any type will ever reveal the dynamic cartwheel effects seen here. The razor-sharp striking details on every feature are notable and make this piece even more important as a type coin. There is certainly nothing that one could call an "abrasion" on either side. For future identification, a small area of dark reddish-charcoal color is seen at the base of the eagle's breast.
