<B>1880-O S$1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The 1880-O Morgan dollar is one of the condition rarities in this series, with AU and low level Mint State coins easily located. Even at the MS64 grade level, this date is not particularly difficult to find, with about 1,000 examples certified as Choice Mint State by PCGS. However, one additional step up the grading scale dramatically changes the picture. This piece is one of just 25 Gem examples certified by PCGS (2/07), including varieties and prooflike coins. The Gem offered here is an impressive and highly lustrous piece with frosty silver surfaces. Both sides are brilliant with only faint traces of champagne toning.
