<B>1880-O $1 MS65 NGC.</B></I> Frosty and intensely lustrous, this Gem Morgan dollar is essentially untoned, although some faint rose accents can be discerned in the fields. Well struck on most design elements, the piece retains just a hint of typical New Orleans Mint softness on the hair detail just above Liberty's ear. The surfaces are generally well preserved, with a faint pinscratch noted in the lower left obverse field, and a couple of tiny marks observed on the eagle, with magnification. This is a conditionally rare issue for Gems, with a mere 39 pieces so graded by NGC and PCGS combined, and<I> </B></I>none finer! <BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> George T.
