1880<G$1> MS67 PCGS. The shimmering mint frost and alluring coloration are this coin's primary attributes. Sharply struck on all of the design elements and nearly pristine on both sides. This low mintage (1,636 pieces) issue was rather extensively hoarded, and is a common Type III gold dollar in Mint State. Superb Gems are actually more numerous than Gems or Near-Gems; a very unusual situation for almost any 19th century gold coinage issue. Population: 96 in 67, 23 finer (9/06).
