<B>1880-CC S$1 MS67 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Jack Lee. Numerous varieties of this date exist, including the present variety with a small bar beneath the second 8 in the date. This variety is related to the overdate varieties of the year, although no other overdate features are visible. More important than its variety status is that this coin is tied for the finest certified by PCGS. The surfaces are pristine and brilliant with no marks on either side, other than a few of the tiniest ticks in the fields. It is a typical strike for the issue, with slightly weak hair details over Liberty's ear, but with all other design elements boldly rendered. Both sides have bold frosty luster and are fully white, save for the faintest evidence of gold toning on the eagle's sharply defined breast.
