The first 8 in the date is repunched over a 7, which shows beneath. Tiny dots of extra metal show inside each C in the mintmark, which is small, and the arrow feathers are slanted (Reverse of 1879). This lovely Premium Gem is untoned, with brilliant mint luster, well-mirrored fields, and thick frost on the devices. NGC has graded 11 pieces finer (9/06).
