<B>1880/79-S S$1 MS68 PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Jackson Hole. VAM-11. A Hot 50 Variety. Delicate champagne toning visits the peripheries of this intricately struck Superb Gem. The unencumbered cartwheel luster sweeps across the uncommonly clean surfaces. Both sides are bright and satiny with faint reflectivity in the fields and slight cameo contrast. Several widely collected VAMs for this issue have die fill within the final 8 or 0 in the date, suggestive of the 1880/79 overdate that is prominent on many 1880 silver dollars of different mints.
