<B>1880/79-O S$1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> VAM-4. A Top 100 Variety. Micro O. PCGS recognizes two 1880/79-O VAMs, VAM-4 and VAM-5. NGC has separate census data for VAM-4 and VAM-5. Between NGC and PCGS, only a single 1880/79-O has been certified as MS65, with none finer. The present lot is that finest certified 1880/79-O dollar, and it poses an immense opportunity to the competitive variety Registry Set collector. It is also desirable, of course, to the high grade specialist of the various 1880-dated Morgan overdate or checkmark VAMs from the various mints. The 1880-O is available in MS64, but Gems are rare. This lustrous piece has attractive golden-brown and aqua-blue peripheral toning.
