<B>1880/79-CC S$1 Reverse of 1878 MS66 PCGS.</B></I> VAM-4. A Top 100 Variety. Although the overdates of the 1880-CC Morgan dollars are not particularly rare, such varieties in combination with the Reverse of 1878 are clearly much scarcer. This piece combines frosty luster on the devices with satiny luster in the fields, creating a pleasing cameo appearance. Both sides have brilliant ivory luster with peripheral gold and iridescent toning.
