<B>1880 3CN PR66 PCGS.</B></I> The sliding circulation-strike mintages and swelling proof numbers evident in 1879 and 1880 would culminate in several issues of the 1880s in which the proofs outnumbered the business strikes. Of the nearly 4,000 specimens coined in 1880, this is a well-preserved example. The moderately reflective surfaces are blue-hued with a hint of reddish-violet on each side.
