<B>1880 $2 1/2 MS61 NGC.</B></I> The 1880 begins a long run of low mintage quarter eagle issues struck only at the Philadelphia Mint. A mere 2,960 pieces were struck. Curiously, half eagles and eagles were struck at then-record levels in 1880. This attractive example is needle-sharp and free from mentionable marks.
