<B>1880 1C MS65 Red PCGS.</B></I> Snow-1, FS-009.41. An example of the Off-Center Clashed Reverse variety, which also shows slight doubling on LIBERTY. The reverse shows a widely off-center clash mark in the area around NE, where the obverse die came in contact. Bowers comments that "this interesting and rare variety was caused by an obverse die that possibly fell out of the hammer position of the press onto the face of the reverse die." Both sides offer mellow orange-gold coloration, with minimal carbon or other distractions. NGC has yet to certify an example of the Snow-1 variety as Red. Believed to be the finest certified example of the Snow-1 variety. Certified in a green-label holder and accompanied by an Eagle Eye Photo Seal. <BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> James B.
