<B>1879 T$1 PR64 PCGS.</B></I> The second year of proof-only Trade dollar issues, the 1879 saw a more generous mintage (than the 1878) of 1,541 coins. This example boasts lovely original lilac centers with steel-blue patination near the rims on each side. The toning is fairly light, allowing the passage of considerable luster from underneath.
