Probably less than one-third of the 1879-S emission is of the Reverse of 1878 variant, with a flat eagle's breast and parallel top arrow feather. The Bowers <I>Guide Book of Morgan Silver Dollars</B></I> says that even well-worn pieces are quite elusive. This brilliant Gem shows a few tiny ticks and luster grazes, but absolutely no singular distractions.
