<B>1879 S$1 MS65 PCGS.</B></I> The 1879 dollar is plentiful in al grades, as might be expected from the nearly 15 million-piece mintage. Sharply defined throughout, including good definition in the hair near Liberty's ear and on the eagle's breast feathers, areas that are often ill-defined on the date. Splashes of low intensity cobalt-blue, lilac, and gray-tan toning rest on highly lustrous surfaces.
