For your consideration is the Original 1879, "Laws Of Montana Revised Statutes of the Territory of Montana". Leather bound, published by the Helena "Independent" Helena, Montana 1880. The Helena Independent was founded in Deer Lodge, Montana in 1867 and is still in existence. This Original of the "Revised Statutes of the Territory of Montana 1879, In Five Divisions, consisting of Code of Civil Procedure, Probate Practice Act, Criminal Practice Act, Criminal Laws, And General Laws. An Act To Arrange and codify the General Laws of the Territory of Montana, in force at the expiration of the Eleventh regular Session of the Legislative Assembly on the 21st day of February, A. D 1879." The Territory of Montana was an organized incorporated territory of the United States that existed from 1864 to 1889 when it was admitted as the 41st state in the Union as the state of Montana. The Montana Territory was organized out of the existing Idaho Territory. This book is in fair to good condition overall, Intact pages exhibit some moisture damage, age tanning, slight foxing noted. Brown leather bound hardcover exhibits slight moisture stains, scuffed cover edges, applied gold gilt lettering and trim title labels noted on spine. No other Obvious marring noted, measures 6"W x 8.75"L x x 2.25"D approximately.
