The reverse is quite elaborate with a partial wreath of cotton and corn tied at the base, a ribbon, and with DEO EST GLORIA on a tablet above. Struck in standard silver with a reeded edge. Pollock assigns the same attribution to both Judd-1617 and Judd-1618 with the explanation that "Metric alloy cannot be distinguished from standard alloy by either color or sonority." A well worn example, the surfaces of this coin are toned a silver-gray, and reveal a lengthy scratch extending from star 7 across the bridge of Liberty's nose and cheek to the lower neck. The rims on each side exhibit a few punch marks. Lot:9869
