<B>1879-CC S$1 Capped Die MS64 PCGS.</B></I> VAM-3. A Top 100 Variety. Die chipping around the Medium CC mintmark, with evidence of an underlying Small CC mintmark. Untoned surfaces display prooflike fields that highlight lightly frosted motifs. An adequate strike impressed the design features, with partial definition showing in the hair at Liberty's ear and on the eagle's breast feathers.
