<B>1879-CC $5 AU55 PCGS.</B></I> Garrett and Guth note that the 1879-CC is the most available CC-mint half eagle from the 1870s, but seldom seen in high grade and very rare in AU condition. This piece is among only 14 pieces so graded at PCGS, with only 13 coins finer (4/07). The beautiful surfaces are a lush orange-gold, with a sharp strike and a premium appearance.
