1879-CC $20 XF40 ANACS. Bowers, in A Guide Book of Double Eagle Gold Coins, calls the 1879-CC the second rarest Carson City Type Three twenty, behind the 1878-CC. This date is usually found well-circulated, with problems, or both. In contrast, this is a problem-free coin that has seen modest circulation, with the expected highpoint wear for the grade and surfaces that appear lightly abraded for a large coin that has spent its share of time in circulation. Pale apricot-gold in color, with a good deal of rose visible mostly in recessed areas and a bit of darker color near the reverse rim.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
