<B>1879-CC $1 MS64 Prooflike PCGS.</B></I> Normal Mintmark. The semi-key 1879-CC dollar is an especially desirable coin with prooflike fields. And at the MS64 level, this is the final grade this date and mintmark can be located with any regularity. When the coins certified in MS64 Prooflike are combined from the two major services, the total is only 96 pieces. But more importantly, for the collector of high grade Morgans a mere 11 pieces have been certified in MS65, and none are finer (6/07).<BR> This is a lovely, well-preserved '79-CC dollar. The centers are sharply struck, and the surfaces overall are minimally abraded with small abrasions scattered across the obverse but virtually none on the reverse. Brilliant throughout, the fields are nicely reflective and well-balanced from side-to-side. The devices are noticeably frosted and present a strong contrast on both obverse and reverse. An important coin for the Carson City collector.
