The surfaces are untoned, save for a thin ring of gold around the rims on each side. Numerous light to moderate abrasions, more so on the obverse than reverse, confirm the grade. As both a <Guide Book< and a Fey-Oxman <Top 100 Morgan Dollar Varieties< coin, the Capped Die issue in high grades appears well poised for future appreciation and enthusiasm on the part of the countless numbers of Morgan dollar collectors.
