<B>1879<50C> PR65 NGC.</B></I> Type One Reverse. Frosty devices and legends exhibit obvious contrast with the glass-like fields, although this specimen lacks a Cameo designation from NGC. A partial drapery variety with the fold beneath the elbow mostly effaced, as made during the die preparation. Brilliant and sharply struck with good reflectivity. Production of half dollars dropped propitiously from the level of preceding years. Business strikes and proofs combined for only 5,900 pieces. Census: 31 in 65, 28 finer (9/06).
