<B>1879 $3 MS62 NGC.</B></I> The surfaces are somewhat prooflike on this better-date example--although not so much as to merit NGC recognition--with light chatter showing in the mirrored fields and considerable mint frost on the devices. A couple of grade-consistent marks appear on each side, but there are no singular abrasions. Despite the small mintage of only 3,000 pieces, most examples show prooflikeness, and specimens of the issue are available, for a price, all the way up to MS67, the grade of a single PCGS-certified example.<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> James B.
