<B>1879 25C PR66 NGC.</B></I> Type Two Reverse. Although the proof mintage for this year is uncertain, it is known that only 13,600 business strikes were produced, the start of an 11-year run of low-mintage P-mint Seated quarters. This enticing proof has a blush of lilac-gold on each side, with an area of brilliance remaining in the center reverse and considerable contrast there as well, although the lesser contrast on the obverse precludes a Cameo designation. A couple of interesting die dots are noted in the horizontal and vertical shield stripes.
