<B>1879 25C MS64 PCGS.</B></I> At first glance, this piece looks just like the many surviving proofs, although closer examination reveals weakness of strike and other characteristics that prevent attribution as a proof. The head and upper obverse stars are mostly flat, while the remaining parts of the obverse and all of the reverse are boldly defined.
