Liberty faces left and wears a cap adorned with wheat and cotton. The reverse inscription specifies its alloy in a six-line inscription bounded by 38 stars. Struck in standard silver alloy (90% silver, 10% copper) with a reeded edge. This design is also known in goloid alloy (5.26% gold, 84.74% silver, and 10.00% copper). Pleasing golden-brown, russet, and rose patina drapes this flashy and unabraded Gem. The strike is exacting, and only a smattering of carbon denies an even finer third party assessment.
