<B>1878-CC T$1 MS61 NGC.</B></I> The passage of the Bland-Allison Act in Feb. 1878 doomed the Trade dollar. For the 1878-CC, only 97,000 pieces were struck, and a portion of this delivery was undoubtedly melted on July 19, 1878. Any Mint State 1878-CC has to be an event for the Carson City or Trade dollar specialist. This tan-gray example has impressive cartwheel luster and a penetrating strike. Marks are minor for the MS61 grade.
