<B>1878-CC 25C MS65 NGC.</B></I> This coin appears to be from a reverse die that is unlisted in Briggs' 1991 <I>Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Seated Liberty Quarters.</B></I> Both C's in the mintmark lean markedly backward. The first C is noticeably fainter and markedly higher than the second C. The obverse shows a few lumps of die rust on Liberty's legs, mostly near the knees. This coin is radiant, well struck, and stone-white. A tiny die crack joins two of the eagle's feathers directly to the left of the shield, about at its midpoint.
