<B>1878 7TF<img border='0' src='http://www.heritagecoins.com/images/star.gif' width=10 height=10>$1> Reverse of 1879 MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS.</B></I> While widely recognized and collected today, this has not always been the case. In the 1960s and on into the early 1970s, little was known about the different reverse hubs used on 1878 dollars. This coin was struck from the round breast design that remained on Morgan dollars until 1904. Deep Mirror Prooflike pieces are especially difficult, and PCGS has only certified 20 Gems with four coins finer (9/06). Brilliant throughout, the fields show illimitable depth of reflectivity with starkly contrasting frosted devices. Intricately detailed with no obvious or mentionable abrasions.
