<B>1878 7TF $1 Reverse of 1879 MS64 Deep Prooflike NGC.</B></I> Much scarcer than the Reverse of 1878 variety (parallel arrow feather, flat breast), the Reverse of 1879 (slanted arrow feather, strong breast) is estimated by Bowers (<I>Guide Book of Morgan Silver Dollars, </B></I>third edition, 2007) to constitute about one-sixth of the total mintage for the year. This silvery piece shows a luster graze on the cheek with a couple of other scattered marks that preclude a Gem grade, but the deeply reflective fields and thick mint frost confirm the Deep Prooflike designation by NGC, which has certified only one example finer within that contrast designation.<BR><BR><b>Shipping:</b> Coins & Currency (<a target="_blank" href="http://www.heritageauctions.com/common/shipping.php">view shipping information</a>)
