1878 7/8F $1 Weak MS62 PCGS. VAM-44. Tripled Blossom. Top 100 Variety. Considered by most VAM specialists to be the Number One Morgan dollar variety. The cotton bolls show tripled edges and blossoms. The reverse shows is the same as VAM 33 with doubled legs on the eagle and five faint extra tailfeathers. This is a brilliant, sharply struck example that shows semi-reflective fields on each side. In Uncirculated grades, the VAM-44 is considered R.7, and in MS63 it is R.8. With prooflike fields, which this piece arguably has, it is even rarer and more valuable. A rarely offered variety.

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information\)
