<B>1878 50C PR63 PCGS.</B></I> Type Two Reverse. Dusky lavender and cobalt-blue reflective fields heighten the cameo-like contrast with the mildly frosted, medium gray design elements accented with traces of cobalt-blue. Exquisitely struck throughout. Wispy handling marks in the fields define the grade. Based on PCGS/NGC population/census data, a fair number of 1878 proof halves have survived.
