1878 $3 MS65 NGC. This is a flashy Gem with brilliant yellow-gold color and frosty luster. Both sides have subtle pink toning and a few small copper toning spots. A tiny planchet flake is visible in the field right of the E in UNITED, and a few insignificant blemishes are evident on each side. Although this piece does not have a full strike, it is well-detailed in most areas. The 1878 three dollar has the second highest mintage of any date in the series, and it is clearly the most common date of the Large DOLLARS reverse type, coined from 1855 to 1889. Only the 1854 issue has a Small DOLLARS reverse.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
