<B>1878 $3 AU58 PCGS.</B></I> The 1878 is by far the most frequently encountered date in the three dollar series. It is also undoubtedly the issue that has the most attractive mint luster. It is not much of a stretch to state that an 1878 (such as this coin) at the AU58 level, is more attractive than many other dates in the series at the lower Mint State levels. This coin does indeed have excellent mint luster with just a bit missing from the fields.
