An original dated October 25, 1877, bank draft issued by the First National Gold Bank of Stockton, California. Made payable to Chas. Belding in the amount of $3,930, this historic financial document was drawn on behalf of the Farmers' Co-operative Union. The check is printed with intricate border designs, and it features an affixed blue two-cent revenue stamp. Signatures of the bank's president and secretary, A.C. Paulsell and J.R. Wilson respectively, appear in ink along the lower edge. Document is numbered 911 on the lower left corner.
