<B>1877-CC $20 AU53 PCGS.</B></I> This Carson City specimen displays well defined motifs, and a good amount of luster on peach-gold surfaces that are imbued with traces of apricot. Moreover, the design elements provide a rather strong contrast with partially prooflike fields when the coin is rotated beneath a light source. The few light contact marks scattered about are fewer than what one might expect for a large, relatively heavy gold coin. The foregoing attributes of this particular example are significant, in that they combine to generate above-average eye appeal.
