<B>1877-CC $20 AU53 NGC.</B></I> This was the first Type Three double eagle issue produced at the Carson City Mint, with the denomination on the lower reverse changed from "Twenty D." to "Twenty Dollars". This example displays thick mint frost over both sides, which is unusual for an AU coin of any type. A slight degree of wear is noted on the back on Liberty's hair bun, and typically heavy bagmarks (for the issue) are observed on both sides.<BR><BR><B>Coin Engraver:</B> James B.
