<B>1877 50C Morgan's Liberty Head Half Dollar, Judd-1519, Pollock-1683, R.8, PR66 Brown NGC.</B></I> The obverse shows Liberty (virtually identical to the Morgan dollar), facing left surrounded by a beaded circle. E PLURIBUS UNUM is above, the date 1877 is below. The reverse depicts an eagle perched atop an olive branch and a bundle of arrows and superimposed over a shield. The shield is centered in a laurel wreath with the motto IN GOD WE TRUST on a pleated scroll above. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is at the upper periphery, and the denomination HALF DOLLAR is at the bottom periphery. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Multicolored iridescence peers through the crimson-copper and cobalt toning that dominates this coin's outward appearance. A lovely, pristine Gem that should be of obvious importance to pattern specialists and Morgan dollar collectors alike.<BR> Just three examples of this pattern variety are currently known.
