<B>1877 50C Barber's Liberty Head Half Dollar, Judd-1531, Pollock-1699, High R.7, PR65 Red and Brown PCGS.</B></I> This is the same obverse as Judd-1526. The reverse has an eagle standing on a pedestal inscribed E PLURIBUS UNUM, holding three arrows and an olive branch. Around, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, and below, HALF DOLLAR. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. Nearly full red surfaces are slightly mellowed to light brown, with lovely lilac and iridescent toning in the fields. It appears that this piece has been lacquered, although such a substance is easily removed.<BR> This is a rare pattern variety, with just the following six examples confirmed by Saul Teichman.
