<B>1877 $5 MS60 PCGS.</B></I> The 1877 five dollar piece had a limited mintage of 1,132 business strikes, the second lowest Liberty Head with Motto circulation-strike production behind the legendary 1875 with only 200 coins. Few Mint State coins are known; indeed, PCGS and NGC combined have certified only 12 such examples. Sharply struck design features on this Uncirculated specimen are highlighted against partially prooflike fields. While several small abrasions scattered around preclude a higher grade, none of them is serious enough to warrant special mention.
